KUNDALINI YOGA

Meditating

Kundalini Yoga is a unique and powerful practice.  It's often referred to as 'The Yoga of Awareness'.

And has been known to have profound effects ... And fast!

In my opinion, each class contains allllll the vital ingredients to catalyse change:

Movement, Breath, Meditation, Mantra & Mudra.

It's a Yogic Science and a Technology!  Each practice is designed to produce a different / specific outcome:

Whether it's aiding digestion or mending a broken heart ... Increasing intuition or balancing your aura!

Kundalini Yoga utilises the alignments of the planets, the science of angles &

The ancient wisdom of  Drishti (eye gaze / focus), Mudra (hand placement) and Pranayama (breath-work)

Kundalini Yoga will circulate your energy, leaving you feeling refreshed, revitalised and ready for the day!

You will work your organs, glands and muscles & Stimulate hormones, proteins, peptides & lipids!

It's unlikely that you've ever experienced such a practice and I will preface by saying that Kundalini Yoga can be weird!!

BUT ... I ask you not to judge it based on what you do in class, rather; how you feel after class!

This ancient yogic technology is truly magical - and I believe, we need it now more than ever &

This inclusive practice has something for everybody & every body!  Come along and give it a go!

"The only thing that matters is that we raise our vibration, expand our aura and our magnetic field to a higher level.  It doesn't matter what religion you are, what you look like or what you wear ...
The aim of Kundalini Yoga is to leave feeling better than when you started."  - Guru Jagat

YIN YOGA

The purpose of  Yin Yoga is to stretch and stress the super important, but often overlooked, 'connective tissues' of the body.

The 'connective tissues', consist of  the fascia, tendons, ligaments and even the bones, as well as the water rich space that surrounds all of these things, in order to improve their health, hydration and mobility.

It's a slow paced and mostly passive practice.  There's no pushing, pulling, forcing or efforting ...

We relax into each pose and allow time & gravity to do the work!

We let go of muscular effort and we surrender.  And we breathe!

Yin Yoga is the perfect compliment to more dynamic, 'Yang' style practices like Bikram, Iyengar or Hatha / Vinyasa.

In addition to its physical benefits, Yin Yoga can also affect your energetic body.

You have 7 major energy centres (chakras) and some 72,000 nadis, or; meridians located in your body.

These meridians, or energy pathways, run throughout your body like a roadmap carrying information to and from your organs and systems!

I don't know about you ... But it feels like this major highway definitely deserves some regular maintenance!

See you on the mat!

"To still the mind, the breath must be calm.  To calm the breath, the body must be still.  When these conditions have been met, deep awareness is possible."  - Sarah Powers

vinyasa yoga

You may be familiar with the names of some of the poses in this practice.

Vinyasa Flow encompasses Down Dog, Childs Pose,

Warrior 1, 2 & 3, Triangle Pose, Lunges, Twists and Happy Baby pose, to name but a few.

Poses flow in sequence and we stretch both sides of the body equally.

We'll test our strength and our balance ...

There'll be a little sweat, a little rest and a little recover!

This class will be laced with breath work and end with a meditation.  It will be well rounded and balanced.

Each class will be my own creation and probably practiced 10 times in a row before I teach it to you!

It'll be a soulful little stretch - It's definitely an hour of self-care - And it'll be great for your body & for your mind.

Come along and connect with yourself and your breath ...

And stretch so you can let more light in.

See you on the mat!

Through the self ... To the self"  - The Bhagavad Gita

Hormone yoga

Hormone Yoga is a dynamic practice designed to stimulate the Glands & Organs of the Endocrine System.

Our Glands & Organs are the Guardians of our Health!

The Endocrine System is responsible for circulating chemical communications in the form of Hormones around your body.

These Hormones travel via the blood and provide a continual feedback loop about your mood, metabolism, emotions, stress levels,

appetite & fertility ... amongst many other things!

During Hormone Yoga practice we aim to rebalance the hormones through movement, breath & most importantly ... REST!

Each class will contain a systematic set of exercises, most of which will be accompanied with a specific breathing technique

designed to stimulate hormone production with the aim of restoring balance to the body and it's systems.

Reported benefits of Hormone Yoga include:

- Improving digestion and metabolism

- Harmonising the nervous system

- Reduces hot flushes

- Balances mood swings

- Reduces symptoms of PMS

- Improves memory & concentration

- Tones the muscles (including the pelvic floor) and strengthens the bones

- Improves flexibility
